JOB DESCRIPTION

Join the MaineDOT Central Laboratory testing team where you will fill a critical role in our soil/aggregate lab determining the acceptability of materials used on highway and bridge construction projects throughout Maine. You will be working in an engineering laboratory performing construction materials testing (and related tasks such as equipment calibrations and data management) at a very high quality level. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge as part of an energetic team which values excellence, innovation, collaboration and community while helping to provide the people of Maine with the most reliable transportation system possible. MaineDOT will invest the necessary resources to enable the selected candidate to obtain relevant NETTCP testing certifications, if not already certified. These must be obtained within two years of hire.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Three (3) years of experience in engineering or a related technical field–OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and one (1) year of experience in engineering.

Level 4:  85% State Contribution (employee pays 15%):  $377.98 biweekly
