This is a seasonal full time 28 week position –  May 31, 2020 – December 12, 2020


BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:  This is operations and maintenance work at Reid State Park in Georgetown, Maine.  Reid State Park is one of the largest and most actively used day parks in the Bureau and has year-round activity. Primary duties include: park operations; taking care of park visitors; community relations; conducting park maintenance and repair; interpreting and promoting the park; collection of park fees; enforcement of park rules and regulations; and managing emergency operations.  Work is performed under general supervision, but the person in this position often works independently at the park.


Typical duties include:  supervising park volunteers; enforcing rules and regulations; maintaining, cleaning and repairing facilities; and collecting and reporting.  The person in this position will be trained and certified in First Aid, CPR, boating safety, general safety, and chain saw operation as a requirement of this position. 


The person in this position must be able to safely and efficiently operate a range of equipment including vehicles, small tractors, chainsaws, and other power and hand tools.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  One (1) year of experience in park maintenance and operation or equivalent and a valid Class C Maine motor vehicle operator’s license.
