This is a technical survey position working on a variety of survey projects and related tasks for the Property Office. Primary responsibilities include conducting topographic, GPS, construction and other survey work as a member of a field crew or as the crew Chief. Additional responsibilities include: field reconnaissance for Highway and private property boundaries, conducting tailgate Job Safety Analysis (JSA), downloading field data and creating deliverable files, and maintenance and calibration of survey equipment. Work requires the ability to use complex electronic survey equipment and related software, computer skills to process survey data and perform editing tasks as well as for research. The position requires attention to detail and a commitment to acquiring accurate survey and property information. Work will be conducted throughout Region 3 and is performed at times under limited supervision. Applicants with prior survey experience will be given preference for this position.  


Five (5) years of experience in engineering –OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and three (3) years of experience in engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and one (1) year of experience in engineering.

Level 4:  85% State Contribution (employee pays 15%):  $392.49 biweekly
