JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a technical position of a supervisory nature overseeing state funded projects. These will include paving and construction activities, primarily on collector roads in designated geographic areas, in the Region. Responsible for coordinating/ managing people, materials, equipment; budgets, schedules and contracts; and the safety of employees and the general public. Assure all work conforms to all applicable state standards, specifications, and design. Supervise and assign work to technical personnel in construction/paving, in order to ensure timely delivery of assigned projects in the Highway Program. Work proactively with Bureau of M&O, Planning, and the Highway Program in developing the biennial LCP and State Funded work program. Work is performed under limited supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Twelve (12) years of experience in highway maintenance and construction or engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in an allied technical field and four (4) years of engineering experience -OR- an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field and eight (8) years of related experience including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
