JOB DESCRIPTION

This is professional services work of a managerial nature involving the engineering and related administrative activities associated with project development.  The incumbent is expected to manage the Department’s Light Capital Paving Program and Pugmill Program.  Responsibilities include the management of the budget, scope and schedule of all assigned projects while ensuring conformance to MaineDOT’s contracts, provisions, policies, specifications, procedures and rules.  The incumbent shall also maintain a high level of professional and ethical standards and be accountable to those responsibilities and standards.  Additional duties include coordinating, reviewing and evaluating aspects of assigned projects from start to finish with Region Engineers, Program Management and other personnel. Supervision may be exercised over technical, engineering and professional personnel.  Work is performed under limited supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Licensure as a Professional Engineer or twelve (12) years experience in technical engineering.

Level 4:  85% State Contribution (employee pays 15%):  $392.49 biweekly
