Agency information:

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) provides supportive, preventive, protective, public health and intervention services that safeguard the public health and assist our customers in meeting their needs. 

The Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) within DHHS administers and coordinates several major health care financing programs for Maine’s citizens including MaineCare and Maine Rx Plus. The Program Integrity Unit in OMS is responsible for providing audit oversight services of public assistance funds administered by the MaineCare Program. We have two vacancies in our Augusta office.

Job duties:

 As an Office Associate II, you will provide office and administrative support to the Office of MaineCare Services to assist with meeting operational, production, and processing needs, while performing complex, varied office work. The position will work with other Agency staff and the provider enrollment team to assist in resolving outstanding enrollment issues, prepare provider agreements for obtaining necessary Department signatures, return agreements to DXC, receive signed provider agreement riders from other state offices, upload into the MIHMS system, and mailed signed copies to providers. Position will provide backup support to the Enrollment Manager for bridge payment requests, as needed.  This individual must possess knowledge of the AdvantageMe database to work with staff from the Office of the State Controller to resolve EFT and vendor mismatches and monitoring of the Enrollment queue for EFT updates within the AdvantageME system. Individual must attend all provider revalidation meetings and any other meetings related to provider Enrollment and must possess knowledge of Citrix and Workflow to assist in monitoring these activities. Individual will also be responsible for updating 1099 returns through the AdvantageME system and will pull checks from the payment cycles for Maine Revenue Services, researching returned mail, and assisting with other office duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 To qualify, your background must include training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates:

  • Competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex office support tasks that are similar in nature.
  • The ability to use independent judgment in handling exceptions to established work assignments, priorities, and schedules.

 

The background of well-qualified candidate will demonstrate experience in the following areas:

  1. Skilled in the use of standard workplace applications (MS Word, EXCEL, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
  2. Prior experience performing a broad range of administrative duties.
  3. Prior experience working as an office receptionist which involves direct face-to-face contact with clients.
  4. Prior experience & knowledge of the AdvantageMe database

Value of State-paid Health Insurance*:

Level 1:  100% State Contribution = $461.75 biweekly (employee pays nothing)
Level 2:  95% State Contribution = $438.66 biweekly (Employee pays: 5%)
Level 3:  90% State Contribution = $415.58 biweekly (Employee pays: 10%)
Level 4:  85% State Contribution = $392.49 biweekly (Employee pays: 15%)
*The level of actual value of state paid Health Insurance will be based on employee’s wage rate and status with regard to the health credit premium program as of July 1, 2019.
