Agency Information:  Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center (DDPC) is a 51-bed, adult psychiatric hospital.  DDPC’s mission is to help individuals with severe and persistent mental illness by providing respectful, compassionate, and effective psychiatric treatment in the least restrictive, safest and most therapeutic environment.  DDPC serves both civil and forensic patients and maintains a small outpatient clinic.  We are looking for competent, collaborative, dedicated and adaptable clinicians to join our team.

Job Duties:  The Psychologist III is a member of the medical staff who performs psychological assessment, psychotherapy and psychoeducation utilizing evidence-based practice.  Caseload may include inpatients and outpatients.

Requirements: Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) or closely allied field and one year of supervised clinical experience or internship.  Applicant must be licensed or license eligible as a Psychologist in the State of Maine.

Level 1:  100% State Contribution = $444.68 biweekly (employee pays nothing)
Level 2:  95% State Contribution = $422.45 biweekly (Employee pays: 5%)
Level 3:  90% State Contribution = $400.211 biweekly (Employee pays: 10%)
Level 4:  85% State Contribution = $377.98 biweekly (Employee pays: 15%)
*The level of actual value of state paid Health Insurance will be based on employee’s wage rate and status with regard to the health credit premium program as of July 1, 2018.
