This position will assist legal administrators and attorneys in meeting operational needs within MDOT’s Legal Services/Title Office by providing specialized legal support.  The primary function of this position is to prepare advanced complex title research and prepare detailed title reports. This position will also provide support to the legal administrators and the department’s property manager by preparing transactional documents and reviewing technical boundary descriptions.  This position will be directly responsible for working with the department’s five region engineers to review and process agreements. This position will prepare advanced legal research and prepare comprehensive, clearly written reports as requested by senior legal staff on property law and other legal issues.  This position will also be responsible for overseeing the process of archiving title work and for maintaining the title work access database.


A Bachelors Degree and three (3) years of paralegal experience in a law firm, court, or legal services agency -OR- an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
